Everyday is tough
It's tough to write a blog everyday. Tweeting and Facebooking everyday is easy but blogging is tough. I'm still going to do it much much more though.

Christmas Eve by Kylie

I had a very nice Christmas Eve. I was at daycare because Mommy and Daddy had to work until the early afternoon. After we got home Grandma and Grandpa Scofield rolled into town. Followed shortly thereafter by my favorite aunt Auntie Megan.
All of the big people were talking and playing with me until we left for Christmas Eve church at 4 o'clock. Church made me sleepy so I took a nap. I must have fell asleepy good because when I woke up I was at home in my bed. Auntie got me up and then Mommy feed me dinner. The big people had spagetti and salad and bread. I would have rather had that.
Next, I got to open my presents from G&G Scofield. I got some clothes and a book and puppets and a baby lamb and a stocking and a book. But my favoritest gift was all of the wonderful paper that my gifts were wrapped in. Opening gifts was very funny and I think I did a pretty good job. Mom seems impressed.
Finally, I had to go to bed. I didn't want to but I was sleepy. Also, I been hearing an awful lot about this Santa character. Mama and Dada say that if I'm a good girl Santa will bring me presents on Christmas Day. I'll believe it when I see it.

6 months

Kylie is 6 months old now. What a big girl! She is learning to sit on her own and is staying up right for a few minutes at a time. She loves her toys and to make lots of noise. We went to the Dr today and she is 15 pounds 10 ounces and 26 inches long. The doctor says she looks great and that she is right where she is suppose to be. The doctor was have quite the time with Kylie as she was grabbing everything the doctor was using. Her stethoscope, the ear looker thing, tongue depressor. She said that Kylie was very curious, which is good.
As you can imagine with Kylie grabbing everything she is a handful. Matt and I are enjoying every moment. In the beginning we would put her in these bouncers and toys and we never thought she would figure out how to use them in a million years. Now she knows how all the buttons work and how to make the annoying song play over and over again. The time has gone so fast.
Kylie is very vocal. She mostly just says AHHHHHH! But she has to yell it for emphasis. Usually during Mom and Dad's dinner when they are trying to watch Prime Time TV. I've been repeating consonant sounds to her, but she just isn't into them yet.
That is what our girl is up to right now. She is an absolute joy, we love her very much.

First Food
Apparently she wasn't!
She is doing really good with the cereal now, but it took a few days. I think she gets messier and messier each time. She likes to blow on the spoon and spray whoever is feeding her.

Happy Independence Day!

Happy 4th of July! We had a nice day. Amy, Jesse and their little boy Ian came over for BBQ lunch. We had burgers, hot dogs, red and blue shaped ice cubes, and Brats boiled in beer. Ian didn't think much of the smell of the brats. After the Duncan's left we went for a quick walk around the neighborhood and Kylie fell asleep. We then continued the tradition of watching the movie Independence Day with Will Smith saving the earth from Aliens. After that Kylie practiced rolling over from her tummy to her back. She hasn't perfected it yet but every once in a while she does it. We have a video that I hope to post soon. The evening was filled with the sounds of fireworks from all directions. If I didn't know any better it sounded like Savage was under attack. I hope all others had a safe and happy 4th.

Puddin
Here is a picture from this last weekend when Auntie Megan came to visit. It was right after Kylie's bath and she is upset about not being able to splash us anymore. We will have to start doing bath time in the the bathtub instead of the kitchen since Kylie is so good with getting everything around her wet.
Kylie had a great time with Auntie. We hung out at home, went out to eat and went to the Mall of America. Since I had the extra hands here Matt and I got the garden all mulched. Hooray!! I think Kylie likes her new nickname from Megan..."Puddin"
